Here are some details of one of our SharePoint MVPs, Nick Swan:
I've been developing with Microsoft based technologies for 8 years since completing Software Engineering at University. Having become interested in developing on top of SharePoint, I decided to start the SharePoint User Group UK (http://www.suguk.org). Membership sign up has been amazing with over 1600 people signed up in the first few months.
I've been using all the v3 bits since January 2006 and so have decided to focus on this area, particularly developer areas such as workflow, site customization, InfoPath development etc. I'm looking forward to companies deploying all this new stuff and the possibilities it will bring for them!
